DrEAMi #78

Welcome to another month of celebrating those Drop Everything And Make it! projects.

Pinterest

I’ve decided that this will be the last DrEAMi party. It’s been a fun run and has inspired many more ‘chase that squirrel’ projects I’m sure. Six such squirrels await those of us who participate in Project Quilting which begins next week and I can’t wait!

I guess I did have a couple of DrEAMi makes in December though they were not unplanned which constitutes a true DrEAMi. However I literally did drop everything and make these from start to finish product  (which are the requirements of a PQ project) so I’m calling them DrEAMi’s.

Brady’s book bag was one:

Brianne’s mug cosy was the other.

You can read about them here. Both were well-received.

Last month Diann at Little Penguin Quilts had a squirrel moment piecing the backing to this November little quilt:

So cute!
Andrée at Quilting & Learning; What A Combo! did this free-motion embroidery based on a landscape. I'm showing the photo and her embroidery so you 'get' it:

Pretty cool, right?

For those regular readers, I did not get my Gratitude post done due to a bad flu bug but hope to finish it up this weekend.

So what did you get up to in December? Link up below.

  2. Sorry you caught the flu. it's not fun to be sick the week after Christmas (we all got Covid as an after Christmas surprise). At least your squirrels went to good homes for the holiday.

  3. I will miss the DrEAMi posts, but I had noticed that the numbers have gone way down in the last little while. Thanks for doing this link up for those of us who love squirrels in all forms.

  4. You are the Squirrel Master! Thanks for many (I don't even know how many) years of fun inspiration and link-ups. Thanks for featuring my project from last month, too. Hope you're feeling better and wishing you a Happy New Year of much creativitiy!

  5. Project Quilting projects certainly do qualify as a DrEAMi, don't they? I've enjoyed getting to see the joy everyone has with these posts, but things do tend to run their course. I wish you all the best in 2024!

  6. Thank you for hosting the DrEAMi linky party as long as you have. While I didn't get many posted this year (my posting has been a little AWOL), I still think of you whenever I drop everything to make something. And squirrels have become favorites around my house; my family even points them out to me - LOL. I'm currently working through the PQ Mystery QAL, which was a definite drop everything deal, and I cannot wait for the next PQ session! Happy New Year, Sandra!

  7. Thank you for the DrEAMi party! I was glad to have one this time...as I always mean to but I have been a little slow this year. Looking forward to your Project Quilting play. I am hoping to sew tomorrow...and hoping you are feeling better by now!

  8. Sorry, you were sick during Christmas. I survived my trip to Houston and my grandson's wedding without coming down with anything. Now I just have to make it home on my flights this Thurs. I've enjoyed the DrEAMi party posts, but appreciate that you may be tired of keeping them going. I think I only joined in once, but liked seeing everyone else's projects. I'm hoping 2024 is the year I get back on track with my quilting.

  10. Thank you for hosting DrEAMi - I did enjoy it, I just have trouble writing a blogpost at the right time - so many times the link party had ended! Happy New Year!

I wholeheartedly appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, as they make my day! I answer every one by personal email. :-) Unless... you are a "no-reply" blogger, which can occur for a few reasons. You can get around that by writing out your email within your comment so that I can answer you.
