DrEAMi #73

Welcome to another month of Drop Everything And Make it celebrations. Isn’t the squirrel photo adorable? You can watch the whole few-seconds-long video here. Marty had it in her Instagram stories and I guarantee it will make you smile. I like to think that the dandelion seeds floating around the squirrels head, or like those tantalizing projects that we just have to make. This is where we celebrate those distractions because we know that it is just so good for our creative souls.

The dandelion seeds floating around can also symbolize my brain cells... I totally forgot to schedule and finish writing this post! Dayna dan Tyler were here for the day and that's all my post-menopause brain could handle I guess!

There were some really bright projects linked up last month. Here is Allison's New Every Morning Patchwork & Quilting happy throw, a pattern by Nicola Dodd.

Joy of Joyful Quilter, made this rainbow mug rug and sent it off to another quilter blogger friend.

And this rainbow basket was made by Kathleen of Kathleen McMusing. One can never have too many storage baskets!

How did your May go for unplanned distractions?! Mine was strange, away for a week, lots of outside and yard time, so I haven't even got my H2H quilts finished and no squirrels were chased, just rainbow houses made! Link up below!

In case you missed it, I am the featured quilter in Leanne's Devoted Quilter 'My First Quilt' series. You can read about my first quilt, made when I was about 9 or 10 years old by clicking that link. Here's the infamous little quilt:

  1. A very charming doll quilt, Sandra! Fun vid, too! Thanks for hosting DrEAMi!!!

  2. Love the squirrel video and the dandelion seeds are apt in many ways. Thanks for the feature, too! I forgot about that one, when I was readying this post, yesterday.

  3. I look forward to seeing what inspires everyone each month, but truth be told, I really look forward to the squirrels you share, too. :)

  4. No squirrels here this month with computer problems, yucky weather & little brother's annual disability stuff to sort. This getting older lark is not easy either & I 'm definitely slowing down a bit. I have been getting on with my village though. Take care & hugs.
