Quilts of 2014

When I sat down to (finally) finish this page on December 31, wine glass at hand, fireworks popping like mad in the background, dogs woofing every so often at especially loud ones, I thought I wouldn't have too many pictures and links to add.  Was I pleasantly surprised at really how much I did accomplish last year!  Although I know many of my quilter friends accomplish a ton more, still, I am pretty chuffed as my English mum would say!  So here they are in sort of chronological order, but also sorted by type.

Tribute to Flowering Dogwood

Note: since I made this quilt, I have learned (and just within the last two days, thanks to Bill Bryson's book, A Walk in the Woods) that the east is losing these breath-taking wild trees due to a fungus called Anthracnose.  It has made me so very sad. I so hope they won't go the way of the American Chestnut, and the American Elm...

  2. Wow! You were quite prolific! Lots of amazing quilts! Love the one that looks like it is woven. I recognize one that looks like a scrappy design quilting is more fun than housework - Brady's Christmas quilt. I made placemats using that design.
