DrEAMi! #25

Good morning and welcome to another edition of Drop Everything And Make it! where we proudly show off those squirrels we've chased, and caught! Remember this is not a 'finish' linky party, although the projects should be completed with some exceptions, such as you might have found a rather large one and still be in the ecstatic throes of working on it, but need to share it before the party closes . Rather, this linky is for those projects that pretty much all of us have been so captivated by, that we will not rest until caution is thrown to the winds along with the current 'supposed to be being worked on and/or completed project', and we focus solely on this DrEAMi! or squirrel as we like to also call them.
Click the photo to be taken to the video; I can't insert Instagram videos here, and yes you can watch it even if you don't have an Instagram account.

Sister-squirrel-snaggers, such as Wendy, Pieceful Thoughts, and Rose, something rosemade, often send me cute squirrel pics they've stumbled upon, and this heartwarming story about Bonita made my day this past week when I got the link from Wendy.
Sadly, one of the downsides to being an Island Batik ambassador,

and getting a quilt design accepted into another magazine means I couldn't chase any squirrels this past month. I even have a pattern for one up in my open tabs that is so tantalizing, I will share the link...well, I've just found out I can't, so it must be exclusive to subscribers! It's on bluprint (affiliate link), one of the free patterns I get each quarter because I'm an annual subscriber. It's a nice perk. I may as well tell you that right now there is a cool promotion going on: you can give a gift subscription...

Gift A Bluprint Subscription at myBluprint.com now!
even to yourself, ha, or a good friend, or tell your family of this idea for your birthday perhaps? The other is that you don't have to sign up for a full year any more, as you did when I did it. You can do three, six or twelve, and that applies to signing up yourself or giving a gift subscription. Three months is only $22.99US so that's a pretty nice affordable gift I'd say. Of course the best deal is the year for $79.99US.

All right enough throwing out of other quilt-related squirrels...honestly, the Internet is ever the vortex isn't it?!

Link up your pretties below, and try to visit some other sister-squirrel-snaggers, or brother-squirrel-snaggers!

  1. I'm curious about your projects, and can't wait to see them. Those projects are fun, but they sure put a damper on the squirrel fun, don't they? If you're like me, while I'm working on them, the squirrels are standing on the sideline, stamping their little feet for attention. Hope you can sneak in some squirrel time soon!

  2. I have a bunch of squirrels staring me down, lined up on my bookshelf—and two big WIPs that I should Just. Finish. I don’t know what will win during this weekend’s blizzard. I’m looking forward to your secret project reveals!

  3. I have a feeling that your quilting life IS chasing a squirrel lately--unexpected projects, anyway. But, how exciting! And I can't wait to see them when you're allowed to share.

  4. I find it very annoying that Bluprint keeps changing the annual subscription price. I subscribed in December for $100. and got 12 free classes. Now 2 months later the price is $80 with a recent $10 off sale. Between what they did to the designers and the ever changing price (you'd think they were an airlines) I will be thinking twice before renewing.

  6. Yeah, my house has been pretty devoid of squirrels since I became an Island Batik Ambassador too - a different kind of fun, but there just isn't time for everything. We are looking forward to your secret projects though. :)

  7. Hi Sandra! I'm sorry you are too busy for some squirrels, but no not really. You have a good problem on your hands - IBA and a magazine design accepted. Yay you! I look forward to seeing your secret sewing. My squirrel isn't finished into a quilt top yet - maybe by month's end. ~smile~ Roseanne

  8. Didn't have any time for squirrels this month. Are the bonuses for signing up for Bluprint still not valid for Canadians?? Good luck with your upcoming projects.

  10. I'll have to confess to two squirrels, the Daisy Chain quilt over at Little Bunny Quilts and I signed up for a quilt class at the quilt shop for a Storm at Sea quilt. Neither on the quilt plans, but what can you do?

  12. What a great quilt - I thought I commented but I didn't see it. Almost caught up from Quilt con and hops.... I love the blues, the stained glass effect and the way you "execute" you dreams. It is perfect.

I wholeheartedly appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, as they make my day! I answer every one by personal email. :-) Unless... you are a "no-reply" blogger, which can occur for a few reasons. You can get around that by writing out your email within your comment so that I can answer you.
