OMG and a Winner

It is so wonderful to have so many friends out there in QBL, many of whom I've had the pleasure of meeting in person. Roseanne and I have yet to meet, but one day... She it was who reminded me with her OMG post to write up my own post for December and link up by Dec. 7 at Elm Street Quilts. One day I may win a prize there, so far no such luck.

Speaking of prizes, Barb @mountainquiltworks is the winner of eight fat eighths of Color Theory. She and I nearly met up on a Go Ahead Tours trip. She'd told me about the one she was doing in 2018, but it wasn't on our radar then. In 2019, unbeknownst to each other, we'd signed up for the very same Europe trip, but her travel was the month before ours. So close!  It's so cool when a prize goes to someone I know, and, just so you know, Rafflecopter keeps it out of my hands. Thanks to all who left such kind comments on my Follow Your Own Path quilt. Be sure to let me know if you make my design.

Now on to the OMG.
For December I plan to finish Michele's quilt. It's on my Q4FAL list and is a bit of a long shot, so this may spur me on to finishing it.
It was a super windy day that day back in 2016! I like this photo of the flimsy however. I have an idea for a two-sided quilt, so let's see if that works out. This was a QAL hosted by Jennifer at Inquiring Quilter, and it's sat on the pile of three or four quilts needing to be quilted. Don't think I only have three or four UFOs...many are in partial completion stages pre-flimsy! I think I have that many RSC ones alone, and finishing one is on my Q4 list.

No pressure this month, what with Christmas and an Island Batik medallion quilt due by month's end...

Okay back to quilting for days on the current quilt. Watch my Instagram for perhaps another sneak peek of the crazy.

  1. Some paths are just meant to cross. One day! Thank you, Rafflecopter, for drawing my name. So fun! And thanks, Sandra, for putting up this prize bundle.
December is not the best month to create goals. So much going on, even in a pandemic! Looking forward to seeing your finishes.

  4. Congrats to the lucky winner & good luck with your OMG. I keep saying I should join in with that goal, but not this month with Christmas, 3 of our 4 kids birthdays as well & the crazy year it has been, even weather wise with snow falling on the Victorian & Tasmanian alps yesterday. Summer? Take care, stay safe & hugs from down under.

  5. Congratulations to the winner. So wonderful when it is someone you "know". Good luck on your goal. I'm sure you will be working hard to meet it along with all those other projects that have deadlines.

  6. Hi Sandra! Oh yes, one day for sure. You just might find me on the shores of your Lake, enjoying the view. I'm glad you got your OMG post written. This project from 2016 is definitely before my time - I never heard of blogs until 2017! This is pretty nifty (and the photo is pretty cool, too). I look forward to seeing how you quilt and finish it. Looks like the is some open areas but that's no problem for you. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

I wholeheartedly appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, as they make my day! I answer every one by personal email. :-) Unless... you are a "no-reply" blogger, which can occur for a few reasons. You can get around that by writing out your email within your comment so that I can answer you.
