I remembered...forgot...remembered...forgot and have actually remembered before the 7th is over. I am so glad I get friends' blogs via email as it is that that kept reminding me...
This is not on my Q4FAL List, so it's a fair OMG; I try not to 'double-dip'! And yeah, yeah, I have a ton of want to and need to-do's from which to choose! For December I want to use my House Block pattern (see sidebar for the link to my Etsy shop) or click here to get your copy for just $4, to make a Christmassy cushion cover with 3D effects.
It will be one of the oh, five ideas I have for the December Island Batik challenge which is using 3D effects in your project. Two of my ideas are hinted at on my Q4 FAL List, so this is the third. Here are some of the fabrics I'm using.
If you decide do buy the pattern, I will send you for free the instructions for the 3D effects I'm doing. One of the effects is that I am not using the Evening Star as the 6" block but designing another. The other? Well wait and see!
In case you've forgotten (I know I even have forgotten all the details of these) here are my nine house blocks I did for the RSC 2017. Nope, they are not a flimsy still, and yep, they need to be so that yep, I can write up a pattern. This house block on Craftsy and now bluprint has been a very good bestseller for me. It's pretty much what pays my monthly fee for running the linky parties.

Good luck with your goal!
ReplyDeleteLove the greens you are using for your project!
ReplyDeleteThe house block is adorable, Sandra. I can hardly wait to see what you do for the Dec. challenge.
ReplyDeleteI would buy the house block but I do not want to make an account with blueprint. I know other people that feel the same way about Blueprint.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra! So glad you remembered whatever iteration it ended up being. I didn't realize you have a pattern for these house - had to pick myself up off the floor since we all know there has been a delay on most patterns. Slightly JK - I'm typing this with a big smile on my face so know that it's just a gentle poke. Can't wait to see where this 3D design goes . . . and there's only three full weeks that I have to wait. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteP.S. It turns out I already own the pattern - oops. I recant all previous snide-ish remarks since I obviously did know you made the pattern. ~smile~
DeleteI love looking at each house. Same pattern, but each so unique. The colors are beautiful and it will be a wonderful quilt when completed.
DeleteI was laughing about your remembered, forgot, remembered. This happens to me even when it it written down in my calendar. I look forward to seeing your house block project.
ReplyDeleteVery cute little house :)
ReplyDeleteGreat houses. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and good luck with your project.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful house blocks! Good luck with your OMG. The 7th came up quick this month!
ReplyDeleteI missed the deadline again....must write myself a huge reminder.
