DrEAMi! #53

Welcome to the June linkup of DrEAMi where we celebrate and share our 'off-track' moments! Enjoy this short video that once again shows you how intelligent and agile these (somewhat annoying lol) creatures are as they figure out the 'track' to the hazelnuts prize.
I hope you've had some 'agile' moments in your sewing room this past month! I did, and I'm about to have another despite two looming quilt deadlines, today with Gudrun Erla's June quilt. You can join her on YouTube or FaceBook live throughout the day today.

I had a gingham DrEAMi. Nancy's gingham quilts have been calling to a few of us, and I succumbed. It went to one of Brady's friends as he undergoes chemo. You can read about J's quilt here.

Last month we had some adorable smaller projects. The first three are quintessential DrEAMis, that is, a project that the maker could not stop doing, letting all other things fall to the wayside, until it was done, and DONE-done!
This wonderful quintessential (as in she saw it, she HAD to make it, and made it right NOW) is from Joy at The Joyful Quilter:

A couple of runners were two other quintessential DrEAMi projects. This one from Tracie at Riceford Streams:
And this one from Vicki at Vicki's Crafts and Quilting:
In all three, the maker totally dropped whatever else she was or should be doing, and made the quilt! Love it.

I just have to shine the light on what Kathy at Hazel's Daughter did for her DrEAMi moments (yep, plural) during the month of May:
Be sure to read about this heartwarming (pun intended) spreading of love and care in which we can all participate.
All right! Whew! What kinds of escapades did you get up to in June? Let's get the party started!

  1. The squirrel video is fun! We are always entertained by what the squirrels are trying in our yard. I do love that gingham quilt design, and hope to try it one of these days!

  2. Those gingham quilts are calling (especially when I'm about to attach a binding to a quilt and would prefer to do something funner). No squirrels for me in June - huh. Yet. Heehee. Love the backing on the gingham quilt, by the way!

  6. Sandra, I love your Dreami for this month! <3 I definitely had one but it's not finished (I think it'll go to a long arm quilter). Thanks for sharing these posts each month because they're always inspiring!
