Makeup Bags

Some of you may have seen my red/plum/brown little makeup bag on Instagram when I entered it in Hobbs Holiday Creating Challenge. Well I finally got the other two finished!

They are listed for sale in my Etsy shop, SandraJaneQuilts.
Here is the other side of all three.

  The insides:

The pink/orange and aqua ones were from 2.5" squares from my stash and scraps. They're all quilted with diagonal lines using my walking foot.

This plum/red/brown one is a 3 Sisters charm pack I got at The Fat Quarter Shop a few years ago. It feels good to turn it into a useable item!

The bottoms are boxed so the bags stand up nicely.

They hold a LOT! I made a little video that I uploaded onto my Etsy site listing so you can see just how much. The top is 9.5". The pattern is an old one from Moda Bakeshop, no longer available, and I couldn't find anything online, so I just went off the one I'd made several years ago for myself, and my own bag-making know-how to recreate these.

Quilt Stats:
Pattern: from Moda Bakeshop
Size:  9.5" across the top x 6" x 4" bottom
Fabric: scraps and a 3 Sisters charm pack by Moda
Batting: scraps of Hobbs cotton
Quilted: on my Bernina
Threads: pieced and quilted on my Bernina with pink Exquisite, turquoise Coats and Clark, and brown Madeira, all 100% polyester.
