St. Nicholas Mug Cosy and a Winner

A few days ago when I was perusing my Christmas fabric stash, I came across the remnants of this beautiful piece of Benartex fabric. I'd made two pillowcases with it, and still had quite a good length of the wonderful border print. Having recently made a few mug cosies to order and one to replace another that had sold, it struck me that the motif might be perfect for one.
Perfect! Both sides are identical.

I love the unusual Christmas palette here, which doesn't scream Christmas, but more of the legend of St. Nicholas.

Well, I whipped up two in no time on the weekend and they are listed here in my shop. Tis the season for warm drinks, though I use my two, one Christmas-themed and one lake-themed, all year round. They keep out bugs when I enjoy my tea or coffee on our back deck.

Staged for the shop, but good to see here too!

For any Canadian readers who may be interested in these, two tips:
1. Send me an email (click the profile link under my photo on the sidebar) and if you etransfer me I can save you the tax😉
2. Go to Tips and Tutorials tab up top and make your own! This is one of my freebies.

I used an older Cranston Printworks print for the lining. I love those styled trees. These two have Hobbs Tuscany 100% wool batting inside. I always recommend washing these in cold water and standing them up to air dry, so wool won't be a problem, and may work even better than polyester!

I haven't marketed them as reversible until now, so I went back to the other two listed and took a photo of them inside out. This one, with stockings on the outside, has sparkly golden trees on the inside.

The sale on Arabesque ended last night at midnight,

so I've drawn a winner from the comments on my blog post, and it is Cindy, comment #3. She has already been notified and sent a copy. Thank you to all who took the time to leave a comment; I appreciate it! I've got a backing made for my table topper version—

so hoping to get that done soon, but first I have to finish up a small project that Brady started in August and get it in the mail.

I wholeheartedly appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, as they make my day! I answer every one by personal email. :-) Unless... you are a "no-reply" blogger, which can occur for a few reasons. You can get around that by writing out your email within your comment so that I can answer you.
