Today would have been my dad’s 100th birthday, that famous Canadian father of mine.😉 Today is also the New Moon, as well as the start of the G7 Summit which is in Evian, France this year. Quite the date!
I’m so pleased that you perhaps stepped out of your comfort zone, making the kite shapes, or drafting said kite shapes, maybe purchasing or digging out your Tri Recs or Wonder Triangle rulers, maybe trying template piecing or paper piecing. I hope you were able to put a slight dent in your stash or scraps to make this year’s quilt.
Remember that although finished quilts are preferred (I do not want to add to your ’to be quilted’ pile, as always, quilt tops are perfectly acceptable for the parade.
Connie, my friend and yoga student, got her lovely quilt finished. When she told her longarmer about the Quilt Along and the meaning of the Lyra constellation, her longarmer chose a pantograph with cool stars within circles. Perfection! Connie is now bringing it to my yoga classes as her sit-upon, extra padding under a knee or knees, and as a snuggle-beneath for savasana.
| So vibrant, and I love the green contrast! |
Thank you so much for quilting along with me this year, and an extra-special hug to so many of you who come back year after year. This is the first year where I didn’t have any prizes, and so I thank you for participating just for the joy of quilting, and quilting together across the globe. The linkup will be open for one week.

I wholeheartedly appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, as they make my day! I answer every one by personal email. :-) Unless... you are a "no-reply" blogger, which can occur for a few reasons. You can get around that by writing out your email within your comment so that I can answer you.
