DrEAMi! #35

OMG this is the BEST squirrel image EVER! Many thanks to my dear friend John, who knows me so well, reads my blog, every post, and sent this to me.

It's the last Drop Everything And Make it! party of the year, so massage those last few gotta-makes into a 'all done!' and link up at the end of this post. Like the squirrel on the table, I think we all could use a massage after spending a lot of hours hunched over our sewing machines during the past month!

Last month there were some wonderful squirrels. This first one meant a lot to me, as it's my own pattern (that, yes, is still not in print, Roseanne, but I did work on it some more this past month!). Roseanne of Home Sewn By Us used Island Batik fabrics she won to create this beauty:
It's quite the story of connections, one of the most important things to me within our community.

Connections. Friends. Special Meaning. All of these are in Preeti's Sew Preeti Quilts wonderful quilt.
I do hope Eva is improving each day. With this much bright love surrounding her, she has a very good chance of doing just that!

There is one more squirrel that got chased and then put into hibernation for a bit, that I will save for January, as I happen to know it is now caught and done and under, not in, a tree!

I am sure that December has found you chasing squirrels, making something that caught your eye and bugged you until you just sat down and made it. Please link up below!

And may I add that it is a pleasure hosting this little party each month, and thank you for linking up those projects that tend to distract, and then take over our sewing life! Here's to many more in 2020. Happy New Year everyone!

  2. I'm chuckling over that image - hahaha. It's perfect! I had to go back and look at my December posts - not one squirrel - what??? Apparently I've been too busy watching the squirrels out in the yard rather than in my quilt room.

  5. Happy New Year....thanks for the big smile the squirrel image brought to me; and thanks for another reminder of Preeti's lovely quilt. I, too, drafted the pattern--wanting it a bit larger than hers but haven't sewn any "sisters" yet. Another addition to 2020 projects!

  7. Hi Sandra! Wow - that's a surprise to see the table runner on your blog today. Thank you for the shout out. WHAT?!?!! You still do not have that pattern written and finished. Sandra. Okay, I'll give you a break because it is after all, still December. You may have had one or two other things going on. I just had to share the snowman topper because that was definitely a squirrel project that had to await its turn from July. It's kind of cool that this is the last DrEAMi for 2019 and the decade. Happy New Year to you! ~smile~ Roseanne

  9. HI Sandra, I've decided it's quite OK for me to link up my Tiny Tree, as a completely unplanned project that called out to me! I hope you have a happy and creative 2020. (Love the Squirrel image!!)

  10. I can’t stop watching these squirrels!! I have also come to love watching my little backyard squirrel the last couple of months. So industrious—I’m sure a squirrel massage was needed. Aren’t those little squirrel hands adorable? Now I’m off to see Roseanne’s blog. I’ve already read Preeti’s lovely. And then to see the other fun squirrel projects. Thanks so much for the linky party, Sandra. Have a squirrelly new year!!

I wholeheartedly appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, as they make my day! I answer every one by personal email. :-) Unless... you are a "no-reply" blogger, which can occur for a few reasons. You can get around that by writing out your email within your comment so that I can answer you.
