Positive Flow Pattern Release

Well, it's been three years coming, but I have finally put together the pattern for this fun quilt!
I've made this quilt a total of four times: three throw size (one for the original ezine publication) and one baby size. This baby size is perfect for a partial jelly roll you may have from another project. I also have another wonderful addition (see what I did there?!) to the pattern...
Do you remember when I was asked by Bernie of Needle & Foot (now retired from her shop) to curate a Blogger Bundle? I turned that beautiful set of fabrics from various companies and lines into a tote bag, and promised a pattern was forthcoming...
Well, I've included it in this pattern, because the idea for the front side came from the nested plus blocks in Positive Flow (aka Plus Playtime).
Here is the back cover of the pattern:
Thank you to Yvonne of Quilting Jet Girl for her expert tech-editing, especially when she does not sew 3D items! Trust me, however, this tote bag is super-easy to make; there's no zipper. If you've ever boxed the bottom for a lunch bag or makeup pouch, it's the same thing, just on a bigger scale.

The pattern is 20% off in my Etsy shop, SandraJaneQuilts now through the weekend, for just $9CA. I would truly appreciate it if you would pin this pattern on your Pinterest pages. That really helps market it and spread the word! Thank you.😇

I had an excellent third quarter for #wipsbegone2021 hosted by Devoted Quilter Leanne. I completed all goals but one, the 'husband quilt', poor man. He's been waiting oh, four years now I do believe. In the winter he does pull one of the couch quilts over his legs while he's watching TV in the evening. Why is that we don't touch the thermostat all day, but at night, it always seems colder in the house?! I actually went way over my two makeup pouches goal because I had a bunch of orders...a good problem to have! I ended up making EIGHT bags, six makeup pouches and two totes. I plan to make more totes and get them into my shop soon. All six makeup pouches sold, so there's just one, the Daysail one, left in the shop, but I take custom orders for specific colours. I do have one strippy pouch made which I need to list, but I'm planning to make another so I'll have a couple of choices when I do list it. I had them once before in my shop but sold out of the four I'd made.

Needless to say that husband quilt needs to get done before December 31. I've found my notes where I jotted the plan for the fabrics I've bought.

In PHD news, I've not been faring well. I've not completed one UFO in the past four months. Completing the husband quilt will be one, but it's pretty much a given I won't be getting another three done in the next 21 days! Still, if I do manage to get the husband quilt done that will be nine UFOs and/or USOs finished this year. USOs is my own acronym for UnStarted Objects - oh I have a FEW of those, fabrics and pattern bought, and stacked nicely together, but not started, though good intentions at the time. I also have released four patterns this year, with hopefully a fifth coming before year's end. I now have 15 quilt patterns in my shop! I'm pretty proud of that.

This pattern is on sale, no coupon required, for 20% off now through the weekend, so just $9CA. The majority of my patterns are $11, which is what this one will be priced at come Monday!

  7. Good job, Missy!! HAHA! I knew you could, would, and should do it. And another pattern release by the end of the year, too?!! Sweet! As far as your PHD, rarely is one completed in one year and sometimes not even on the first attempt. I say cut your losses, and set your sights on a PHD in 2022. I think - I'm starting a rumor, I guess - that Gail will host her PHD event again in 2022. If not, you can just do it on your own and we'll listen to your dissertation. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
