DrEAMi #59

I am so glad I usually start the next DrEAMi post after the current linkup closes. It has been a while, hasn't it? I didn't do one in December because I was in Alberta for Christmas, and then the one that should have been published on Saturday, is only going out this evening because Dayna was finally here for a visit! Other than publishing the Postcard from Sweden post, it was all about her for the 2.5 days (and what, 11? workout shirts I hemmed and a sleep mask and pillowcase I fixed...) she was here.

I did have a DrEAMi in December. I got a request from not one, but two of my yoga students to make a bag like mine for a loved one of theirs. Since I was off to Alberta on the 20th, I had to get pretty much right to work.
This is one of the two I made. You can read about them here or click the link in the Linky Party below!

In true DrEAMi fashion, I have dropped the construction of the Postcard from Sweden quilt to make yet another bag! The yoga student who had me make one for her BFF in Montreal has asked me to make her one similar to it because she just loved it so much! I also received some gorgeous fabric from Benartex as a pre-Christmas surprise (Dayna brought it to me, as it had been sent to her to save postage) and I do think another bag is in order with some of it.

As usual we had some beautiful squirrels to chase in November:
From LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color, these fabric-origami jewel-bedecked butterflies!

Still in the animal kingdom, (muppets are part of it, right?) Kate at Arts and Socks dropped everything when this Elmo kit arrived at her house, and knitted it right up!

Well, what got your attention in December or January that you had to Drop Everything and Make it? Remember this isn't a finish party or a work in progress party; it's a party for those quilt projects that made you Drop Everything you were supposed to be doing because you just had to Make It!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. So glad you had Dayna for a visit! That's the best! You know the DrEAMis happen no matter whether there's a link-up to share them or not, right? :) Love your bags - such a great design.

  2. Sorry, but that is actually Oscar. I misidentified him. Elmo is now finished and was gifted to my grandson for Christmas.

  3. Visiting with Dayna was more important than a blog post, IMHO. I like those butterflies.
