DrEAMi! #62

A great photo for our "Oh look! A squirrel!" party aka DrEAMi which stands for Drop Everything and Make it! was the lead in Kate's of Arts and Socks post:
Read the explanation of her foster kitty Mystique taking this chipmunk's drive-through order by clicking the photo.

Adorable and smart on the part of the foster family and the chipmunk! This month's DrEAMi party where we celebrate those projects we saw and just had to make, like NOW, is a day late because of publishing Step 2 for my Pop Star QAL. It's not too late to join in! The link to all the details is also on my sidebar and may I remind you that there are some sweet prizes?!

Last month there were several true DrEAMis as in the maker saw a project, just HAD to make it, and chuck all other current projects out the window./ Here is Kate's of Arts and Socks:

and here is Andrée's of Quilting Learning What a Combo:

Squirrels, like rabbits, multiply. And the material kind of squirrels do too. Here is Diann's Little Penguin Quilts mug rug squirrel, yet another true DrEAMi because she stopped her regular sewing and didn't stop sewing until this was done and gifted!

It was inspired by Pat's DrEAMi
I love it!

I didn't have a DrEAMi this month because I was very well-behaved, (unusual, I know) and focused on my QAL, my Baby Pop Star for said QAL, two tops for Hands2Help tutorial, one of those tops that became a finish for H2H, English Garden, and my spring tote bag. I have another makeup bag laid out, and the start of a second because I wanted so badly to have a DrEAMi and just make a matching makeup bag for my spring tote, but I also stayed on task with pattern writing, and finished up A Roll of the Dice which I've had started for, oh, years since I made it for another fabric feature hop for Benartex.
That's the runner I made in 2018. There is a cushion, aka pillow, cover and now a baby quilt included in the pattern. Yvonne of Quilting Jet Girl, has tech-edited it, so all that needs to happen is for me to make the baby quilt and then I'll have another one ready! It feels good to finally be making some progress in publishing all these designs that have been quietly sitting in the wings. Now to make some progress on UFO quilts...

Link up below with your tantalizing squirrels/chipmunks projects!

Remember this linky is for those projects that have interrupted your regularly planned quilting. This is not a finish celebration or a WIP celebration so please honour this theme. Thank you!

This month the linky is open until Tuesday midnight because of opening the party one day later than usual.

  2. I made an Easter hen in April, not planned at all. And it was so fun I actually made 3 more. You can fins them all in my blog, but I was unable to post from my blog today.

  3. Hi Sandra, thanks for featuring my yellow placemat. Unless something else strikes me, I'll probably be here with my scrappy table runner since it's a great challenge and I only ever make it at the last minute if I'm in the mood for a squirrel :-) Good for you for resisting the squirrel temptation. Sometimes it's easy, but sometimes resistance is futile! Take care.

  4. All looking good and yes, you are so busy. No squirrel from me this month due to life being hectic and being away this last weekend with no i'net access. Back to my Pop Star through the week and should be able to do a post soon. Take care & hugs.

  5. I just realized that I had a DrEAMi project this past month! Thanks so much for hosting; I always look forward to what is tugging at people to be made and truth be told, I always love your introductory photos or videos. :)

  6. I've made a last minute link-up Sandra and hopefully my scrappy sewing is acceptable as a DrEAMi moment. I really was not intending to start this! PS HST for Pop Star have been made!
