You can find the tutorial for the block here. I quilted the blocks with a large meander and did a little dot to dot in the squares on point formed where the blocks meet. I nearly did some dot to dot in the squares but decided that the pop of the four on-point squares was enough. I used a very pale yellow Exquisite polyester for the quilting.

It took a few takes to get this photo as the wind is nuts this morning! |
The back is chunks of fabrics that needed to be moved out of the stash. I often have a kid in mind for these quilts so they I looked for happy prints.
I pulled out my bag of binding leftovers and had plenty to make a scrappy binding. There aren’t many leftovers in there now which is another advantage to making these scrappy happy quilts!

The scrappy backing for this RSC quilt is perfect! Congratulations on the finish and I have a feeling it will find its way to the person who needs it most.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun backing you pieced. Positively joyful! Congrats on this awesome finish.
