RSC 2016 Flimsy and MMM Update

The overwhelming advice was to sew my Whirling Stars in the offset layout.  So I did!  Gosh, I've been so productive this past 10 days!  Over the course of this year a couple of people have said this is pattern-worthy, so you bet, I am going to write it up.
I love it!  I really think it would have looked good in the straight set too, but this makes it twinkle a bit more doesn't it?

In other ongoing projects, I got the December Meadow Mystery instructions completed.  We had to make nine 12 1/2" blocks in various combinations of sub-units from previous months.  I laid each block on the design wall as I went and made a design. 😄
It's pretty interesting as is, n'est-ce pas?!  I could see this as a modern baby quilt with some fancy FMQ... maybe a 4" border to bring it up to 44" square...  In examining the remaining pieces and sub-units, I predict we are going to make some evening stars out of the geese and squares that remain...  Maybe the navy will end up being a twinkly border around those stars...fun times!

Speaking of fun times (and addictive!!)  My Scrap Vortex has seen some more slabs constructed:
Somehow my pile of twosies and foursies doesn't seem to be going down that much...
But I think it is; I transferred the slabs to the zippered vinyl bag that a set of sheets came in, which I've been using to hold the twosies and foursies etc., and now this pile fits into their ziploc bag.

I'm sure everyone knows by now, especially if you get Craftsy's emails, or if you, like me, follow Angela Walters' blog by email, or on Instagram or on Pinterest, or follow her on her YouTube channel (yeah I follow her everywhere I can) that she is going to have her very own show, The Midnight Quilt Show!!!!  She is as hilarious in her trailer as she is in person teaching.  I subscribed to it already, and can't wait for Dec. 7 for her first show.  Eeeep!

I also can't wait for Dec. 7 because it's Giveaway Day at Sew Mama Sew, their bi-annual link party! I should have a giveaway or two here on the blog so be sure to check back.  💝

Linking up with Angela at soscrappy for Scrap Happy Saturday!  I do! I do! LOVE scraps. :-)
(But I think I love Angela more...😬)

I tried that scrap vortex thing a few months ago but it was looking less like a vortex and more like vomit so I stopped. Maybe another time. :-)

  16. I do love those off set stars! Also, I think I like your version of guessing at the Meadow Mystery the best. I've seen several attempts as I've floated around blog land. Lately, I'm always a day or week late on reading. I just came from your give away post :P

I wholeheartedly appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, as they make my day! You can get around that by writing out your email within your comment so that I can answer you.
