My turn comes up Wednesday! See below for another sneak peek at the quilt's progression. Remember there is a fabulous giveaway on Island Batik's blog, as well as at each blogger's stop.
You know how much I love to quilt feathers. This quilt asked for some, so I said, I dunno; I'm planning on selling this one.... But the quilt won out. They usually do.
Hope to see you back on Wednesday! There will be a giveaway here on my blog as well!
Each week of the hop you will find five different newly released fabric collections from Island Batik showcased in projects. The name of each collection is in pink italics, and the blogs to visit who are showcasing the collection are beside it. In other news, Avril had her spa day which didn't take long at all, and yes, it was her timing, so she's good to go now. That was such a wonderful day trip to Chatham, to The Quilting Studio, with lunch at Mama Maria's on the Thames River, and a side trip to North Buxton, a town where escaped and freed slaves could own their own land, build homes, have their children educated, and build a good life, what all humans deserve and have a right to. There are more photos on my Instagram, but I found a quilt in an 1850 log cabin!
Of course I'd sniff one out. And it's a log cabin quilt, in an authentic log cabin! Love it.
Happy hopping!
The pressure is crazy sometimes. Welcome "back" and I look forward to Wednesday. :)
