Sponsors

I am so pleased to have the following sponsors for my quilt along. Their generosity is much appreciated, and I hope you will remember that when you are indulging in a little online shopping. This year's prizes are all digital. This way we don't tax our postal workers anymore than necessary during the pandemic. Of course, if you are the winner of a digital gift certificate, then the shop owner will of course ship you your fabric and the postie will deliver! Simply click the shop logo to be taken to the shop itself.

Mad About Patchwork has supported me in several of my blog activities over the years.
They are located in Stittsville, Ontario, which is just outside of Ottawa. Their bricks and mortar shop is currently closed due to the virus stay at home orders, but it is open for online ordering, and they will ship or you can pick it up at the curb if you're in the area. Yes, you can order a piece or two from them if necessary, for your Centred quilt. 😉 They are offering a $25 gift certificate to their store.

Bernie of Needle & Foot Fine Fabrics is back again this year.
Bernie lives in Grass Valley, California. She is offering a $35 gift card to her Etsy shop. She carries a lovely selection of fabric, and makes the most wonderful bundles. I was privileged to be one of the bloggers she asked to curate a bundle for her shop in 2018. She too is able to ship orders at this time just in case you need to purchase a piece of two for your Centred quilt!😇

Joanne of Canuck Quilter Designs is a Canadian living in Iowa for several years now.
She is offering a free PDF pattern and a coupon code (MMM2020) for 15% off to her shop.

Leanne of Devoted Quilter runs her business out of Newfoundland.

She is offering one winner their choice of two PDF patterns from her Etsy shop.

Make Modern says it so well:
"Make Modern started in 2014 as a collaboration of three Aussie quilters who built a close friendship through the online quilting community. Our magazine is written by a small team of passionate modern quilters in Australia with a huge team of amazing quilters from all over the globe who contribute patterns and articles."

Issues come out bi-monthly and contain articles and modern quilt patterns. You can purchase a subscription or a single copy here. Issue #33 just came out, and it's another beauty filled with eye candy and patterns to make said eye candy! Make Modern is offering a 6-month subscription to one lucky winner.

Cheryl of Meadow Mist Designs is once again sponsoring me. She lives in North Carolina.

I am so grateful to her; she was a mentor when I joined the New Quilt Bloggers group in 2015, and has sponsored each one of my QALs. She is offering one winner their choice of two PDF patterns from her shop.

Lorna of Sew Fresh Quilts runs some of the most popular QALs in QBL! (Quilting Blog Land in case you're unfamiliar with that acronym). She lives in southwestern Ontario.
She has the best animal quilts, right? I mean, those giraffes--! She is offering one winner a $50 gift certificate to her shop!

Cindy of Stitchin at Home also lives in southwestern Ontario.
Cindy is a talented pattern designer who has had several of her designs published. She is offering one PDF pattern of choice from her shop to one winner.

Yvonne of Quilting Jet Girl is another mentor of mine from that same hop in 2015.
She is also a pattern editor, having edited for Leanne and Cheryl and also for me.😊 She lives in California, and is offering two PDFs of the winner's choice form her shop.

And then there is me! I, too, live in southwestern Ontario, in Canada's southernmost town of Kingsville. I think Cindy, Lorna and I are all within a few hours of each other. I am offering one winner their choice of two PDF patterns from my Etsy shop. Yeah... I need to get that logo sorted, don't I... In the meantime, here once again is the QAL button I created:

I'll see you next Friday for the fabric requirements. In the meantime, if you're wanting, like me, to peruse the fabrics in your stash, I used seven in the original quilt. You can do it with six, because I had to use two navies since I didn't have enough of one. To answer Bernie's question here, the quilt finishes at 40.5" square.😊

And I've forgotten over the past few posts to let you know that bluprint is offering free watching right now, to help with being isolated. Check out Instagram too for Live impromptu concerts and talks from artists in music, movies, books... yesterday I watched Reese Witherspoon interview Glennon Doyle about her new book, Untamed, can't wait to read it. I'm reading Carry On Warrior right now, and I read Love Warrior last year, all good. This morning on CBC Radio 2 they played Barenaked Ladies covering Bruce Cockburn's "Lovers in a Dangerous Time". All four members were isolated in their homes, and performed the song in sync together. It was magical. I said to my husband that I hope radio continues in this direction; it IS magical and real and not auto-tuned, just raw talent and in the moment. Same with the interview and other live little concerts I've watched. I'm still offering Yin yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays Live on Instagram at 6:30 am for an hour.

Any-who. bluprint. Their promotion is running March 26 through April 9. No coupon is required. They have over 1300 classes available to watch for free. I have taken part a few times during events like this, and it is a great way to check out classes and decide if you'd use a subscription. You no longer have to sign up for an entire year, so that is good news. Anyhow check out the link below if you're interested.

  5. I will sort out the fabrics, and might have to spread my choices to another set of colours. The sponsors are again so generous, and also, again, this will be a beaut QAL for us all, at a time when emails, Skype, Facetime, Zoom, blogs and phone calls mean so much.

  6. So nice of you to do this, Sandra! And interesting how it falls during the worldwide "i-sew-lation".

  8. Centered is so beautiful, Sandra! We've been enjoying little free concerts here, too, mostly ones my son learns about.

  9. I haven't jumped into any QAL yet because I'm working on UFOs, but this looks like a fun one to use some larger pieces.

  10. Thank you to you Sandra and all the lovely sponsors for this QAL. I can't wait to pick a "theme" color. Thankfully, I have a rather embarrassingly large stash. Time to use some of it.

  11. That’s a very nice quilt Sandra. Unfortunately I haven’t finished Postcards from Sweden yet, so no quilt alongs for me. It’s next on my list after the wedding quilt though, so I WILL finish it this year.

  12. Hmmm. I promised myself to avoid all the numerous QALs, SALs and whatnot that are proliferating online. I have too many UFOs to finish. That said, I think I'm in the firmly undecided category. We'll see how things are going next week.

I wholeheartedly appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, as they make my day! I answer every one by personal email. :-) Unless... you are a "no-reply" blogger, which can occur for a few reasons. You can get around that by writing out your email within your comment, OR here is an awesome place you may fix this:
